Until the other day's lecture I never would have known the impact press has had on our world. Without it, we wouldn't have had newspapers. Newspapers were the start of mass communication - people were engaged and aware of the world around them. We wouldn't have modern day technology, because somewhere along the lines, someone would have had to read a textbook on engineering. We wouldn't have had the protestant reformation;Martin Luther's 95 Theses never would have spread.
The impact press has had on our world is amazing, and I think more people should know about it.
